Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, Secretary of State for Strategic Studies and the Development of the Digital Economy

"Our country has embarked on a course of reforms under the aegis of the President and the Prime Minister with the objective of improving the daily life of French citizens, modernizing our institutions and making government action more efficient. To achieve this, the State must analyze, evaluate and anticipate more.

As an institution, the Center for Strategic Analysis lies at the heart of this new, strategic dimension that the State has taken on, to which it contributes the skills and expertise in horizon scanning and strategic planning that will facilitate the reform program."

As part of the current government reshuffle, the Élysée announced Thursday 15 January 2009 that Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, Secretary of State in charge of Environmental Policies, has been appointed Secretary of State in charge of Strategic Planning and the Development of the Digital Economy. She will report to the Prime Minister.

Upon a proposal by the Prime Minister,the President of the Republic has appointed Éric Besson Minister of Immigration, Integration, National Identity and Co-Development. Éric Besson was previously the Secretary of State in charge of Strategic Planning, Public Policy Evaluation and the Development of the Digital Economy.
